Dr Paul Dukes has been part of our Nelson team since 2007 and is currently Managing Radiologist for the region. After completing his radiology training he worked at Auckland Hospital as part of the interventional team working with the NZ Liver Transplant Unit before completing a stint at Nelson Hospital.

Throughout his career, Paul has gained considerable academic experience. He has been a Senior Lecturer in Anatomy with Radiology at Auckland Medical School and was part of the Auckland FAST Ultrasound Course faculty.

Dr James Fulton has been part of the Pacific Radiology team since 1995. Originally working with us part time while also holding a consultant position at Dunedin Hospital (1993 - 2016), James joined Pacific Radiology full time in 2016. Currently based in our Otago / Southland region, James also spent 6 months working for our Anytime division in London.

James has an active interest in research. He was involved in the Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Disability Study (DMHDS) with the latest iteration involving Structural and Functional MRI scanning of the cohort from 2016 until 2019. 

His most recent publication is as a co-author of a paper on surgical repair of a meningoencephalocoele in a kakapo (Strigops habroptilus).

James was a member of the Pacific Radiology Board from 2010 to 2016.
